The regional screenings organized by CinéDOC-Tbilisi have been successfully implemented by the Regional Coordinators for the past four years now. Initially, the coordinators partake in a training program under the guidance of international professionals who will share their knowledge and expertise. The trainers reveal the essential ingredients of organizing a mini film festival as well as screenings-related discussions.
The selected individuals enjoy free access to all film screenings of CinéDOC-Tbilisi International Documentary Film Festival as well as master classes and special side events. In 2020, for the first time Regional Coordinators training took place online.
For the first time, in 2020 This year for the first time Ragional coordinators training took place online. 51 coordinator from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan were trained by our international tutors. Ondřej Kamenický director of the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival One World. One World is considered to be the largest human rights documentary film festival in the world held in Prague and other 36 towns in the Czech Republic. And with Anastasia Kurilenko who got her Master of Arts Degree in Cultural Management from Manchester University. She’s also an associate of EU-Eastern Partnership Culture and Creativity Programme & a certified trainer (since 2017). Since 2010 she’s worked as a cultural manager with photo galleries, art exhibitions, dance theatre & art projects. Now she’s a trainer for cultural & event management &an event & marketing specialist. The regional screenings program is co-funded by the Swedish Institute and the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia
During 5 days of sessions, they worked on and discussed alternative ways of film screenings in their regions (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) with our international tutors, and we cannot be more excited about it as we heard a lot of beautiful ideas from our coordinators.
